Training
Solving thousands of multiple choice questions for Preliminary examinations, ‘brief and all encompassing’ answer writing skills for Mains examination and dressing and addressing for the Personality Test, is the way to success in Civil Services exams. Our training shall focus on the same. Freshers, undergraduates, veterans shall all be trained in different batches and their performance shall be assessed at regular intervals. This shall be provided by a combination of experienced faculties and visiting faculties mainly comprising of serving and retired bureaucrats.
Counselling
Counselling shall be provided in areas such as aptitude for civil services for under graduates, subject selection for Mains exams, how to start preparation at the under graduate level etc. It is necessary to decide early, to succeed early in these exams. The late schooling years and early college/degree years are the crucial moments to decide firmly and take a plunge towards careers in Civil Services.
Study Room
The study rooms are spacious, airy, well lit and have sufficient space for one’s baggage and books. Besides, with a dedicated campus open for students, the corners of corridor, peaceful and clean, are also a favourite place of some of our students. Suffice to say, the whole campus is your study room.
Library
The library facility is replete with all the dedicated study material, magazines and audio-visual media, all of which have just one aim – providing an all round understanding of issues facing Indian administration for our students.
About Our Founder & Director
About us
Shiv Vidya Prabodhini is a registered public trust. It was formed by Shri. Vijay Kadam, Deputy Leader, Shiv Sena. Shri. Vijay Kadam is an alumnus of Mulund College of Commerce. He has then, been the University Representative. Mr. Kadam has been a member of the Senate at the University of Mumbai from the year 2000 to 2005. He was instrumental in starting a Centre for IAS coaching in the Kalina campus at University of Mumbai. Shri. Kadam has been undertaking a grand & a magnificent program of felicitation of the successful candidates from Maharashtra at the Civil Services exams, since 2001. The successful candidates were felicitated by an illustrious dais comprising of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra: Uddhav Thackeray, Lok Sabha speaker: Manohar Joshi, Union Cabinet Minister: Anant Gite, Leader of Opposition in the Legislature, serving and retired Secretaries to the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of India, Director General of Police, Dy. High Commissioner in Indian Embassies, Commissioners of Income Tax, vice-chancellor and the likes.
Shri. Vijay Kadam
Shri. Kadam has been providing free accommodation since 2005, in Delhi to 200 + students every year from Maharashtra, for the Personality Test of the UPSC. In addition to this, he has been arranging for the free of cost accommodations in Mumbai to the students appearing for Civil Service Mains exams, from all over Maharashtra. Shri. Vijay Kadam has successfully, offered and provided FREE OF COST resident coaching for students appearing for Civil Services Mains: 2013. This facility was availed by 100 + students, who appeared for the Mains in Mumbai. Continuing with the consistent efforts and on the basis of students’ insistence, Shri. Kadam decided to take a big leap and provide for a FREE COACHING to all the candidates from Maharashtra. The underlying aim of all the endeavours by Mr. Vijay Kadam is to increase the number of candidates from Maharashtra in the top echelons of All India Services and Civil Services: A feat, not yet prominently scaled by the leading State of the Nation, Maharashtra. Shiv Vidya Prabodhini’s Balasaheb Thackeray IAS Academy is a Registered Public Trust, an institute with a focus of learning and educating ourselves. The immediate focus being on the most prestigious, Civil Services Examinations conducted by UPSC. Over the past 20 years, we have felicitated 500 + successful candidates who have cleared the reputed Civil Services Examination. As per SVP’s report and experience of over 20 years, we have always made sure to provide an enabling and encouraging environment to the students of Maharashtra to appear for one of the most competitive and powerful exam in the country: UPSC (CS) This merely needs the correct application and utilisation of basics (School & Graduate Level Learning) to the contemporary issues faced by the Indian administration. A two decade long interaction with the successful candidates and the guests of honour at SVP’s felicitation programs, made us perceive that dazzling bright success in Civil Services is exceedingly achievable, by sincerely studying and applying ourselves in a ‘desired’ manner.
